Diyas of Talent: Departmental Face-Off

Greetings from School of Allied Health Sciences, VMRF-DU, Chennai Campus! 


The Fine Arts Club and Student Council organized a vibrant Diwali celebration titled “Diyas of Talent: Departmental Face-Off.

 The event aimed to celebrate the festival of lights while providing a platform for students to showcase their creativity and talent through various interdepartmental competitions.


The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp. This was followed by a welcome address ,extended warm Diwali wishes to everyone and emphasized the importance of celebrating the festival safely and joyfully.


Students from all departments participated enthusiastically in a range of competitions, including Fruit-o-cake Fiesta,Sync'd up, Adrenaline Ad Rush, Dance remix with Props.

Their active involvement and spirited performances reflected their immense talent, teamwork, and festive enthusiasm. The hall was filled with vibrant energy, laughter, and the spirit of healthy competition.


The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. As a delightful finale, crackers were burst, marking the joyful end of the Diwali celebration.The celebration truly embodied the essence of Diwali—spreading light and joy.

Fresher's Day celebration

The Fine Arts Club and the Student Council jointly organized a vibrant Fresher's Day celebration to welcome the Batch of 2025 to 2026.


The event commenced with a warm and inspiring Welcome Address ,setting a positive tone for the day. The students showcased their talents through a series of captivating cultural performances, adding color and joy to the celebration.


As a token of love and remembrance, memorable gifts were presented to all the new students.

The day truly marked a wonderful beginning for the new batch, filled with enthusiasm, energy, and excitement!


The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks.

Greetings from School of Allied Health Sciences VMRF-DU  Chennai Campus 


The National Physician Assistant week is observed annually to recognize and honor the contributions of Physician Assistants in the medical field. On this occasion, the Department of Physician Assistant,School of Allied Health Sciences,Chennai Campus organized 58th Physician Assistant week ,ANSONS 2025


The event began with a warm welcome address, Followed by

Prof.Dr.B Sendilkumar, Dean Allied Health Sciences,VMRF-DU salem presided over the event and highlighted the significance of celebrating this day.


The special invitee, Dr. Jeric Ashwin, Head and Neck Surgeon at Chennai Clinical Care Hospital, participated and provided the students with insights and practical guidance on the contributions of Physician Assistants in hospitals and the protocols followed in clinical practice.


To further honor the occasion, a White Coat Ceremony was conducted. During this ceremony, students of the Undergraduate Department of Physician Assistant were presented with white coats and stethoscopes. The students also took the oath of commitment following the presentation.


The student from Department of Physician Assistant presented the Portable projector and Lab instruments to the institution


The suturing Workshop and Ambulance training were conducted to the students nearly 180 students are actively participated in the workshop .


Finally the Winners and the participants of the Interdepartmental fest of Academics were honoured with  Trophies and certificates Nearly 250 students participated from various Departments .

Awareness about cleanliness and Environmental protection

Greetings from  School of Allied Health Sciences ,VMRF-DU,  Chennai Campus 

As part of Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 NSS,SAHS Youth Club and EVS club organized a series of activities  to spread awareness about cleanliness and Environmental protection. The program included Beach Cleaning, a Rally, and Human Chain Formation, with the active participation of students, teachers, and staff.

The Ralley and Human chain formation was flag offed by Mr.Arivazhagan ,DSP Mahabalipuram  along with Mrs.Yashwandhra Valarmathi , Chairman Mahabalipuram and sub inspectors of police and Traffic Police department.

Followed by the  cleanliness drive started  at Mahabalipuram Beach, where students enthusiastically collected nearly 500kg of  plastic waste, bottles, wrappers, and other litter from the shore. They also raised awareness among the general public about the harmful effects of plastic pollution on marine life and the need to maintain clean beaches.

A total of 100 students along with faculty members actively participated in these activities. The students showed great enthusiasm and teamwork, ensuring the event was impactful and meaningful.

The Student Council and Fine Arts Club proudly organized and celebrated Teachers’ Day 2025  with great enthusiasm and joy.

The event commenced with the Lamp Lighting ,special address to mark the occasion, highlighting the invaluable role of teachers in shaping future generations.The celebration was further enriched by vibrant cultural performances by our students. They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude and respect towards the faculty by presenting them with a token of love.The event concluded with a joyous cake-cutting ceremony, engaging fun-filled games, and memorable moments shared by students and teachers alike.

The Inauguration Ceremony of 2025-2026 Batch

The Inauguration Ceremony of  2025-2026 Batch commenced with  Tamizh Thai Vazhthu, pooja, and lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

The Chief Guest has been felicitated.Prof. Dr. B. Sendilkumar, Dean, AHS, VMRF-DU, Salem, delivered the Presidential Address, inspiring the audience with his focus on discipline, quality education, and innovation in healthcare.


The distinguished Chief Guest, Dr. C. Sylendra Babu, IPS (Retd.), Former Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, delivered the Special address. He highlighted the values of discipline, ethical conduct, leadership, and lifelong learning, inspiring the students to uphold integrity and service in their professional journey.


The SAHS Student’s Council then shared their aspirations and commitments on behalf of the student body.

Finally the Books kit has been issued to the First year students .

The Graduation Ceremony 2025

The Graduation Ceremony 2025 of the School of Allied Health Sciences, Chennai Campus was held on 14 August 2025 at the Indoor Auditorium, Vinayaka Mission's Chennai Campus Campus. The event commenced with the academic procession led by the dignitaries.


Mr.Muthuraj.S, Director I/c,SAHS Chennai Campus, VMRF-DU, warmly welcomed the gathering and presented the Annual Report of SAHS. 


Prof. Dr. B. Sendilkumar, Dean, Allied Health Sciences, VMRF-DU, delivered the Presidential Address, emphasizing the vital role of parents in every student’s success and encouraging graduates to embrace the philosophy of learning, unlearning, and relearning as a key to staying relevant in the healthcare profession.


Dr. S.Ashokan, Director & CEO of GEM Hospital,Chennai graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, highlighting the importance of continuous upskilling and compassion in the healthcare profession. He also stressed that discipline is the foundation of professional excellence, and that ethical conduct and integrity are essential qualities for every healthcare professional.



A Total of 32 graduating students were conferred their degrees and were Heartily congratulated for their well-deserved achievements.

Singer Bharath and Singer Maanasi gave a special Guests performance ,where students enjoyed ..

The Crescendo-2025 overall  winners, cultural, sports and Athletic winners were awarded with trophies, medals and certificates. 



CRESCENDO 2K25

The Student Council and Fine Arts Club proudly hosted the inaugural ceremony of CRESCENDO 2K25. The event commenced on an auspicious note with a graceful welcome dance. 

The dignitaries on the dais took part in the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and were felicitated.

Our Esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Guanlan Kamalini, delivered an inspiring address, sharing her extraordinary journey in cricket.

The unveiling of the team logos and trophies by the dignitaries added excitement to the occasion. The highly anticipated march-past was led by the NCC cadets, followed by the contingents of all four houses.

 The Olympic torch was lit by the torchbearers, and the sports pledge was administered by the Sports Secretary. The formal opening of the sports meet was symbolized by the release of Pigeons by the dignitaries.

The event concluded with impressive special performances, including Silambam and a human pyramid display by our talented students. The energetic flash mob and the grand unveiling of the event flex by the organizing committee marked a vibrant opening to CRESCENDO 2K25.

World Perfusion Week 2025

Department of Perfusion Technology,School of Allied Health Sciences organized World Perfusion Week 2025 ,on the theme "Holding Breath and Heartbeat to Celebrate Life." The event was a grand success, featuring insightful webinars, engaging chapter presentations, and thought-provoking discussions that brought together perfusion experts, academicians, practitioners, and students to explore the latest trends, innovations, and challenges in Perfusion Technology.


Additionally, our students showcased their creativity and knowledge through various competitions, including an online quiz, "Arrange the Sequence," "Find the Missing Part," and meme creation, which added a  interactive element to the celebration

Seminar on Liver Health – SLH 25 & Food Expo

On the vibrant occasion of World Liver Day 2025, the Department of Physician Assistant in collaboration with the SAHS Youth Club proudly hosted the 

"Seminar on Liver Health – SLH 25 & Food Expo"

Theme: Food is Medicine


The day began on a lively note with the inauguration of the Food Expo by our esteemed Chief Guests, where 26 enthusiastic student teams showcased their creativity by presenting nutrient-rich foods essential for liver health. Each team passionately explained the science behind their dishes, blending knowledge with flavor!

Following the Expo, the seminar commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment.

The first session was 

Dr. Vaibhav Suresh, Consultant Family Physician and Diabetologist, Kauvery Hospital, Vadapalani, opened the session with a thought-provoking talk:

"Myths vs Medical Facts – What FutureHealthcareProviders Need to Know?"

The second session featured Dr. Swati Raju, Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Liver Transplantation, Kauvery Hospital, Vadapalani, who shed light on:"Nutrition and the Liver – Preventing Fatty Liver Disease through Dietary Intervention."

The event concluded on a high note with the distribution of trophies and certificates to the winners and participants of the Food Expo, presented by the Chief Guests.

 over 150 students in attendance, the day was a powerful blend of knowledge-sharing, student engagement, and celebration of liver health!

A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art

The National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Fine Arts Club of SAHS organized a wall painting under the theme of “A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art” on the occasion of World Art Day 2025 to create awareness among school students and the public. Students exhibited their talent by creating awareness through their art that highlights the value of education and how the younger generation is being dragged around by various distractions and the importance of maintaining a clean environment and the impacts of ignoring cleanliness, which include pollution, health issues, and ecosystem degradation.

Farewell and Investiture Ceremony 2024

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the 

”Farewell and Investiture Ceremony 2024” organized by Fine Arts Club and Student Council, it is a day filled with emotions, aspirations, and the spirit of leadership.The event was led by our Dean  Prof.Dr.B.Sendhilkumar sir, Allied Health Sciences, VMRF-DU, Salem


The event marked a heartfelt farewell to our outgoing students, celebrating their achievements and cherishing the memories they have created during their time with us. Their journey has been an inspiration, and we wish them success and happiness in all their future endeavors.


The Investiture Ceremony was a moment of pride as we formally entrusted the responsibilities of leadership . The leaders, chosen for their dedication, integrity, and vision, pledged to uphold the values of our institution and lead by example in the coming year. All our club student members received their badges from our Dean sir, the great leader himself.


As a token of love and gratitude our SAHS, Chennai campus students presented a small gift to our beloved Dean sir.

Indian Constitution Day

On the occasion of Indian Constitution Day , National Service Scheme  and Department of Forensic Science Technology  organized a Guest lecture, Group discussion,Quiz and E- Poster competitions on the theme of Upholding Democracy and Human Rights. We have also read the Preamble to our Constitution (Pledge in both Tamil and English), a solemn reminder of the values and principles that shape our nation. May its words inspire us to imbibe and reflect on the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, and may we strive to uphold these values in our daily lives.

FREE MEDICAL CAMP

Department of Radiology and Imaging technology,Youth Red Cross and National Service Scheme of SAHS cordially organised a ”FREE MEDICAL CAMP” on the occasion of World Cancer Day-2024 under the theme “Close the Care Gap”. The medical camp included Vital check, Dental Screening, Eye checkup, ECG, Haemoglobin estimation, Glucose Estimation, Blood pressure and BMI. Around 250 police officials got benefitted from the camp. The Event was inaugurated by Chengalpattu DSP Mr. Poogazhenthi Ganesh and guided by our Prof.Dr.B.Sendilkumar, Dean ,Allied Health Sciences, VMRF - DU, Salem
